This Privacy Policy describes how Salty Luxe Travel LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operating the website hawaiiwithfamily.com under the brand Luxury Hawaii Family Travel by Salty Luxe Travel, collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you contact us, complete our trip intake questionnaire, subscribe to email updates, or book a consultation, we collect information you choose to share: your name, email address, phone number, and your responses about your family's travel preferences, composition, approximate budget range, travel dates, and planning needs.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect standard technical data — browser type, device, pages visited, referring source, and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) — to understand how visitors find and use the site.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your inquiries, design travel recommendations, deliver the services you request, send appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling links, and — with your consent — send marketing emails. We also use aggregated, non-identifying data to improve the site.

AI processing of intake responses

When you complete our trip intake questionnaire, your responses are processed using artificial-intelligence tools (large language models) to help us understand your family's preferences and prepare for your consultation. This processing happens on secure servers; the resulting analysis is used internally only, is never displayed publicly, is never used to make automated decisions with legal effect, and is never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing. By submitting the questionnaire, you consent to this processing.

Email communications

Transactional emails — confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling links, and replies — are sent as part of providing our services. Marketing emails require your signup and always include an unsubscribe link. Our email marketing is delivered through Flodesk; transactional email is delivered through Resend. We do not send marketing text messages.

Google user data

If you book an appointment with us, our scheduling system creates events on our business Google Calendar and may send you a calendar invitation. Our application's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access only the calendar data needed to schedule, update, or cancel your appointments; we do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — website hosting (Vercel), database hosting (Neon), email delivery (Resend, Flodesk), AI processing (Anthropic), scheduling (Google Calendar) — and with travel suppliers when needed to deliver services you have requested, or when required by law.

Data retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and secrets are stored securely. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we treat your information with the care we'd want for our own.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email kristin@saltyluxetravel.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our services are intended for adults planning family travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about children (such as ages for trip planning) is provided by their parents or guardians.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
